James Kennedy and Ally Lewber Just Had a Major First Together: Details
The Vanderpump Rules couple teamed up and are declaring, "I Believe in You." Here’s why.
James Kennedy has extended his 2023 winning streak.
Amid his U.S. DJing tour, the Vanderpump Rules cast member came through with a new single called “I Believe in You,” which marked his first official track with his girlfriend, Ally Lewber. The Bravo couple recorded the song with Station Little, an online platform that focuses on educational children’s music.
James spoke about the release in a November 30 Instagram Story, explaining his decision to join forces with Station Little’s co-founder Jordan Omley.
James Kennedy and Ally Lewber collaborate on an "inspiring" track
“We wanted to work with Station Little just because of the great messages towards kids,” he said. “Jordan runs the whole Station with his wife and a couple of other people, and they’ve just been doing amazing things. Lance Bass was actually just featured on the last [song] and I love what they’re doing… all positive stuff.
"All the moms out there, go play this song for your kids. I’m sure they're gonna love jumping around to it. And always, always tell your kids you believe in them, ‘cause that’s what it’s all about.”
Ally described the track as both “educational and inspiring,” and said she really resonated with its message.
“This song is all about following your dreams, which is a message that I’m very passionate about,” she told Us Weekly. “I’m from Ohio and moved to L.A. with some big dreams, and I know [James] agrees and had some big dreams, as well.”
James Kennedy says Ally Lewber has original music on the way
The single arrives just months after James and Ally moved into their new Burbank home, which will be equipped with a proper recording studio. The DJ told Us Weekly that he and Ally have “a lot of fun” creating music together, and confirmed his astrologer girlfriend had original tracks on deck.
“It’s just a great, new vibe,” he told Us. “Ally’s going to be starting her musical journey early next year. We’re going to be having some singles for her. We’re just having a lot of fun and making as much music as we can. We love writing and we’ve got the piano here in the living room and the guitar, and we just like to stay musical and collab as much as we can.”
James, who got his start in music during his teenage years, teased Ally’s big career move back in August when he posted photos of their recording session. The two were spotted with songwriter Jordan James and producer Michael Biancaniello, who told fans to keep their eyes peeled for Ally’s new tunes.
“Get ready for greatness!!” Michael wrote on Instagram. “Been a great few days with some great people [Ally Lewber, James Kennedy, and Jordan James]… Great vibes, great music. It’ll be worth the wait.”
