Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval Share Their Reactions to James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss' Breakup
The former Vanderpump Rules couple also each share an update on their life post-split.
Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval are longtime friends of Raquel Leviss and James Kennedy, who announced they had ended their engagement over the weekend. And Tom, of course, played a special role in helping to plan the former couple's proposal, which was featured in Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules.
When Ariana and Sandoval appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday (December 7), they shared their reactions to the couple's breakup news.
Ariana noted that she was "absolutely floored" when she heard the news of the breakup. "We were just at Disneyland with them, like, two days before that, and I never would have thought anything was amiss, so it was very shocking," she said, noting, "When I saw her Instagram Stories of her moving out and stuff with her dad, I was like, this feels very real."
Sandoval added during the WWHL appearance, "It was probably the most surprising moment we've had on Vanderpump Rules in years."
Ariana also offered up her theory as to why things may have ended for the couple on WWHL, which you can check out, below.
Since sharing the news of their split, Raquel recently offered an update on her life post-breakup, which included moving, as well as a recent girls' night, complete with sushi, stuffed animals, and fluffy blankets.
James shared how he's doing on Instagram, noting that "what a year it has been (to say the least)." "Today one chapter ends and a new chapter truly begins for me. Not sure what I’m going to do but I do know one thing, I will continue my journey without alcohol, I will find my true self and the music never dies," he wrote. "Thank you to all my friends that have reached out I appreciate you all so much. Cheers."
The couple confirmed their split in separate Instagram posts on Sunday (December 5). “After these 5 wonderful years we had together, we decided we have two different goals and made the decision to call off the engagement,” the statement read. “We love each other very much, but we aren't in love anymore. We want nothing but the best for each other so please keep any thoughts positive. Sending Love.”
