Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Are "So Excited" About Their Engagement

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have definitely bounced back from last season of Vanderpump Rules when it was revealed that Jax had cheated on Brittany with one-time SURver Faith Stowers. A lot has happened since then — including the bartender popping the question over the summer. (Spoiler: She said yes!)

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

And with Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules right around the corner (next week can't come soon enough!), he noted that the couple — and viewers — will be in for a wild ride: "[It] was a very bittersweet year for me personally, multiple deaths in my family but also asking my queen to be my wife."

In order to get to a better place with his "queen," Brittany recently told Us Weekly that he certainly took control and remedied the situation even when there are times when "it is hard, trust me." She added, “I see him every single day making efforts and he’s completely changed the way he treats me, the way he talks to me, the way he listens to me. Every single thing about our relationship is better. I know how much he’s wanting the wedding and how much he’s wanting to marry me, how much effort he’s putting into the wedding, just as much as me. I don’t know, whenever you know somebody as well as I know Jax, you can just tell.”

Jax and Brittany Reveal Their Worst Habits

Jax notes that much of his growth and maturity in his life and romance stemmed from the loss of his dad, who passed away from a battle with cancer back in December 2017. He's also made it clear that Brittany served as his rock during that time in his life. “I hate to use my father as an excuse to pick myself up, [but] I don’t think I would have done it unless something happened, something traumatic needed to happen in my life, and it just so happens it was my father,” Jax explained to Us Weekly. “He was kind of that turning point for me to be like, ‘Enough’s enough.’ I just felt like my dad kind of took my body over and was like, ‘This is how you’re going to live the rest of your life the way I think you should live it.’ I’m living my everyday — from now until I die — how my dad would live his life.”

Jax wasn't the only one who faced the loss of a parent as of late. Lala Kent also lost her dad back in April. On Twitter, Jax shouted out the SUR hostess for having to also deal with that kind of loss in front of the world: "Emotions are all over the place this season. [Lala] can relate to this as well."

Fans will get to see what's next for the future newlyweds and their crew when Vanderpump Rules returns December 3 at 9/8c. Preview, below.
