Lala Kent Shares New Details on Jax and Brittany's Separation Amid Speculation About Why
The Vanderpump Rules cast member is shared her honest take on The Valley's couple recent relationship drama.
It’s been nearly a week since The Valley’s Brittany Cartwright announced that she and Jax Taylor were separating to reevaluate their relationship after nearly five years of marriage.
The mom of one shared the heartbreaking news on the February 29 episode of When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany. "Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health," Brittany explained on podcast. "I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still very hard to talk about and I’m taking things one day at a time."
Brittany and Jax’s split came around the time the latter addressed rumors about their relationship, which he quickly shut down by responding to a fan on social media saying, “Everything’s great.” However, we now know that wasn’t the case.
What’s more, on the March 5 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Lala Kent revealed that she wasn’t surprised by the couple’s split because she knew they weren’t in a “great” place. Read on to find out what else the Vanderpump Rules cast member revealed about Brittany and Jax.

Lala Kent’s reaction to Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s spilt
While in the Bravo Clubhouse, Lala shared why it wasn’t news to her when Jax and Brittany confirmed their time apart. “I mean [Brittany is] one of my dearest friends, so I obviously knew that things were not great, and I told her, ‘I support you, but I always say leave him,’” she said.
Immediately after, host Andy Cohen mentioned to Lala that he's noticed many fans' speculations about Jax and Brittany’s split is only "promo” for their new show, The Valley, which premieres on March 19.
As for Lala’s response? She said: “They don’t need any help with that, they’re all hot mess. They don’t need separations.”
Later on WWHL, Andy brought up Jax and Brittany again by asking Lala if she was “serious” about telling her friend to leave her husband. And to no one surprise, Lala kept it real by saying, “When a man starts to steal any of my friend's sparkle, I want them to kick the man to the curb.”
Are Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright getting divorced?
As previously mentioned, Brittany confirmed her and Jax’s split on February 29; however, a few hours later, Jax clarified some details regarding their relationship.
During his chat with Page Six, Jax said: "Of course, I mean this is not divorce, but just taking some time apart, just trying to re-asses our situation. And we have a child involved, and we want to just do what's best for our kid."
When it was time to share his and Brittany’s current relationship status, he admitted they were "trying to figure it out."
