Jax Taylor Has a Hilarious Chicken Attack to Thank for His New Special with Brittany Cartwright
But what did the rest of the #PumpRules SURvers think when they learned of the couple's new show?
UPDATE 8/24/17: Now that Vanderpump Rules: Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky has premiered, hear even more from Jax about what will happen this season with his latest The Daily Dish podcast interview below.
A happy accident is apparently a phrase you could apply to the new Bravo special Vanderpump Rules: Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky. What started as a hilarious phone video from Brittany Cartwright turned into Vanderpump Rules gold, according to Jax Taylor, who explained to The Daily Dish Podcast hosts Rachael and Megan just how it all came to be by chance. "There was a little video of me feeding chickens when I went to Kentucky for the first time and the chickens started attacking me... and I screamed like a girl." Jax continued, "She was filming this whole situation...and she decided as a joke to send it to Evolution, our production company. And that's how it happened." All we have to say is thank goodness for modern technology.
But that's not all the tea the SURver spilled about the new special — we mean, it is Jax Taylor. The bartender didn't hesitate to tell our podcast hosts all about how his castmates reacted to the series — and let's just say some were more pleased than others. "Of course, the girls were like, 'Oh we're so happy for Brittany but not you, you ***hole. Of course, you would get something,'" Jax mimicked. "You know they're all like, 'Why didn't we get one?!'" Clearly the ladies need to make more chicken videos.
But don't worry, Jax took the jabs all in stride. "I think eventually they were happy for us, but in the beginning, they were like, 'You ***holes.' Which, I kinda loved it," he said. "I like to twist that knife as much as I can." Because of course, that's how Jax reacted. In fact, he admitted to twisting that knife even further. "Especially with the girls, with Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder, I love it." He teased, "'I got my own show!'"
