Jax Taylor is certainly no stranger to trouble. In fact, even he would admit that he kinda has a knack for getting into it. On the Vanderpump Rules spinoff, Vanderpump Rules Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky, Jax ran into Brittany Cartwright's ex, clashed with her friends, and, of course, left for the airport alone. Let's just say, quite a lot of drama went down. But of all the things that happened on this trip, Jax can best sum up his regrets with just one word: "spark."
Yes, you're not alone if you thought Jax said "spark" quite a lot in Kentucky. In an interview with The Daily Dish podcast, Jax himself groaned about the word. "I know, I've heard it a thousand times. If I take back anything, it's saying spark ... If I hear the word spark one more time..." But Jax also gave a little more context as to why he was so insistent on asking everyone about Brittany's spark.
"I just felt like when she was in L.A., I thought maybe she was a little homesick. I didn't know how else to put it," Jax explained. "I asked her friends, I asked her family. Is there something I can do? Is it something that I did? Can you tell me? ... I couldn't get it out of her so I went to her family. So I didn't know what to do." And the SUR bartender maintains that his heart was in the right place for it all. "I don't think I did anything wrong. I'm getting harped on it all the time ... I'm just looking out for her. I'm just trying to see how I can make my relationship better. I don't really think I was doing a bad thing."
Looking back, Jax claims he wasn't just looking out for Brittany but for them both. He continued, "It wasn't just her, it was me too. And people don't realize I wasn't just putting her down. I gained like 30 pounds, I gained weight." (That's despite telling Mawmaw that he, in fact, had not gained weight, as we all remember). But really, delivery has never been Jax's strongest suit.
For now, we have a feeling he won't be using the word spark anytime soon.
