Is This Jax Taylor's Strangest Anecdote About His Mysterious Past to Date?
We just learned a new detail about the SURver's life before Vanderpump Rules and we're shook.
Jax Taylor is like an onion — and over the years we've peeled back more and more layers on the Vanderpump Rules SURver's past. We all know that he was once roommates with Channing Tatum back in those good ol' modeling days. And we know that he had a stint in the Navy. He's revealed his brush with Scientology... and the age he lost his virginity. And now there's a new Jax Taylor anecdote and this one is a doozy.
Jax sat down with Vulture for an interview that seemed to take a closer look at the man, including some of those tidbits about Jason Cauchi (his real name, in case you didn't know). And we learned a few other things about the former model. The first story involved an early interaction with Andy Cohen right before Vanderpump Rules premiered. They met at an event to celebrate Andy's book, Most Talkative: Stories From the Front Lines of Pop Culture. Apparently, Jax later told folks that he and the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host “really connected” and that they had lunch plans in their future. This is Andy's reaction to that story today: “Like, why was I paying all this attention to Jax? Of course it was totally untrue and if you confronted him with the story now, he would probably say it didn’t happen. But I’m telling you, it happened.”
(For the record, the Vulture piece notes that regarding that tale, Jax isn't sure “if that’s 100 percent true.”)
OK, so that brings us to the even wackier tale, before all of that, and to the year 2005, around the time Jax, then 26, moved to Los Angeles. As the story goes, as explained in the Vulture article, Jax found a UCLA student ID on the sidewalk. He then began using it to go to the gym. From there, he upped the ante and rushed a frat and lived in the frat house (quite possibly the Sigma Nu frat) and lived there for six months. Additional details regarding this tale were not made available at press time... or perhaps ever.
Well, if you want to know more about Jax's life through the years press play on the videos above — and below.
