Jax Taylor Moved Into the Same Building as Tom and Katie and We're Already Imagining the Wild Times Ahead
Let the shenanigans commence!
Jax Taylor has finally "made it in life." That's how the Vanderpump Rules bartender felt as he prepared to move into a new three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment with girlfriend Brittany Cartwright when The Daily Dish caught up with him in January. "I feel like if you have three bedrooms in your apartment, then you've made it in life. My dad always said if you have three bathrooms, you're doing well," Jax said. "I'm at the point where I have three bed, three bath all to myself. That's a lot of space, in my opinion."
More space was something that was definitely at the top of Jax and Brittany's list as they searched for a new place after outgrowing their last one-bedroom pad, according to Jax. He told The Daily Dish that he anticipated having more room in the abode would also benefit his relationship with Brittany, with whom he also works at SUR. "Yes, that's the No.1 reason why we need it," he explained. "I need my man cave, she needs a room for her stuff, and then we have our room."
Jax and Brittany, as well as their dogs Kingsley and Monroe, have since moved into the West Hollywood crib, which is located in the same building as Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz's apartment. Now we can only imagine how much more fun these couples are going to get into. "Yeah, we'll be neighbors," Jax gushed. "I'm excited."
The abode has some gorgeous features, including high ceilings, hardwood floors, and stainless steel appliances. It's also just a block from SUR, giving Jax and Brittany possibly the best commute to work ever.
Though we've come to associate Jax and the rest of the Vanderpump Rules crew with L.A. living over the years, he said that he doesn't see himself residing in the City of Angels forever. "This [apartment] will be my last place to live in L.A.," Jax said. "I like to say I'm hitting the back nine of my life to where I want different things."
The SURver said he loves the L.A. weather, but he's not such a fan of other aspects of the city, such as the traffic and the high cost of living. Jax said he wouldn't mind spending more time in Brittany's home state of Kentucky in the future. "I love Kentucky. It's a beautiful place," he said. "It'd be nice to have a little house there."
He has also considered moving to Florida, where his parents currently live in Clearwater. "Ideally, I'd like to end up in Florida, close to my family, back to Tampa or Clearwater. I love Florida. I love Florida very, very much. It's, like, my favorite place," Jax gushed. "The beaches are beautiful. The people are beautiful. The people are a lot friendlier. I get to drive. There's no traffic. I just love Florida. There's so many things about Florida that I just love."
