Jerry O'Connell Says This Is the Hardest Part About Filling in for Wendy Williams
The actor is hosting The Wendy Williams Show while Williams gets some much-needed rest.
For Wendy Williams, taking a day off from work is a foreign — and not entirely welcome — concept. But, when the talk show host needed to take a step back from The Wendy Williams Show to address health concerns, she knew just the man to call: Jerry O'Connell.
The actor has taken over hosting duties for Williams while she is on leave, and will fill in for the famously blunt personality until her anticipated return to air on March 19. "Jerry has been such a good friend to me," Williams said. "We're happy to welcome him as a guest host while I'm out getting much needed rest."
So, how has the temp job been for O'Connell? When the Housewives superfan stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on March 13, he was happy to fill viewers in. A caller asked: "What has been the most nerve-wracking thing about guest hosting The Wendy Williams Show this week?" and O'Connell was quick to respond. Watch the clip above to get the scoop on filling in for the so-called "queen of hot topics!"
Oh, and fun fact: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills swimwear designer Dorit Kemsley stops by The Wendy Williams Show this week and will cross paths with Jerry again. New besties alert?
