Jersey Shore's Sammi Sweetheart Couldn't Be More Over Ronnie Ortiz-Magro
She's got a new boyfriend to GTL with (and obsess over).
Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro met while filming MTV's Jersey Shore and conducted a volatile on-again, off-again relationship for eight years. Their permanent breakup was recently revealed when Ronnie joined the Season 2 cast of Famously Single on E!, where he briefly hooked up with Khloe Kardashian's pal Malika Haqq. It was a surprise to fans that Ronnie didn't also participate in the first episode of the new E! series Reunion Road Trip, which brought together several of the original castmates to spend a day together some five years after their show wrapped.
Instead, Sammi joined former roomies Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley and Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio for a quick catch-up session. The Situation was first to ask her what her status is with Ron these days; the women knew from experience that it was probably better not to ask. Sammi said that Ron is not her favorite these days.
"That door is closed and will remain shut for a long time," she offered bluntly.
But don't worry, Sammi (who is now a podcaster) has found love again and is gushing about how he's shown her what she wants in a relationship "in an amazing way." Her Instagram feed is full of public displays of affection for #CARL.
Despite Sammi's protests to the contrary, with the whole world as witnesses to their explosive relationship during the Jersey Shore, it's probably best to "never say never" when it comes to Sammi and Ron.
