Jessica Simpson Isn't the Only One Confused by Tuna
The singer had a hilarious response to a recent mixup at Whole Foods.
Back in 2003, Jessica Simpson was a 22-year-old pop star who revealed the ups and downs of her first marriage to Nick Lachey on the reality show Newlyweds. And it was during this time that America (and her then-husband) made fun of her for not knowing that Chicken of the Sea is not actually made of chicken.
"Is this chicken, what I have, or is this fish?" she asked Nick at the time. "I know it's tuna but it says, 'Chicken By the Sea.' Is that stupid?"
The endearing line might have been all but lost to history until grocery retailer Whole Foods recalled a batch of chicken salad that was found to contain tuna.
"It happens to the best of us @wholefoods," she posted on Instagram.
Perhaps an endorsement deal should come her way while we're waiting on new music.
