Jill Zarin On Her Life After Bobby Zarin's Passing

It's been nearly a year since Bobby Zarin passed away after a battle with cancer. And Jill Zarin is still feeling the loss of her longtime love as she and her family gathered in Amagansett to remember the late Real Housewives of New York City husband at an unveiling ceremony just days ago. She opened up about her life these days — and the loss she feels after Bobby's death in January — on Instagram.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and stream next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

"[My daughter] Ally [Shapiro] and I are watching old videos and this was a very happy day [in reference to the video she posted on social media]. We have a small nuclear family and losing Bobby and [my dog] Ginger [in September] has been overwhelming. We try to move forward and live life the way Bobby wanted us to but it's days like this that make it very difficult," she wrote. "My sister and Zarin family will be together to lay Bobby to rest peacefully. Ironic it's the first day of Hanukkah too. I truly love you and miss you and will never ever forget the love we had. I hope you are at peace now and know you are watching over us."

Last season, Jill appeared on RHONY as she grieved the loss and attended her late husband's funeral.

Bobby Zarin Helps Reunite Bethenny and Jill

That event also marked the rug designer and Bethenny Frankel ending their epic feud. "It was really nice that she came," Jill explained on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in April.

After Show: Nene & Reza Squash Their Beef

When The Daily Dish spoke to Jill back in the spring, she opened up about her life after Bobby and how she felt about finding love again. "Well I've adjusted to it with open arms because I have no other choice. And I'm an optimist, not a pessimist. So I see [it as] this is in God's hands," she said, noting that before he died, Jill and Bobby discussed her next chapter. "He told me what he wanted for me. It was very sad... But he wants me to move on, he wants me to be happy. He wants me to work. He wants me to play tennis. He knows I love it and he knows that that's probably a good place for me to meet a nice guy and he doesn't want me to be alone. He's not selfish like that."
