Jim Edmonds took to Instagram to confirm that he received 12 stitches to his face after walking into a shower door. He showed off the injury, which happened right above his eye in his eyebrow area, and opened up about what happened.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Peacock and the Bravo App.

"Hasn't been a great 2020 yet! Got in a fight with the glass shower door. It was opened when it wasn't supposed to be in the dark," he detailed on his Instagram Stories. He later confirmed, "Just 12 more stitches for this body."

Though, he did show some humor about the situation, writing, "Ouch. Already ugly enough."

In the midst of the face injury situation, Jim has also been recovering after he tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) and dealing with a a custody battle with his estranged wife, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King Edmonds.

"Hey, y'all, what's up. I just wanted to drop a quick note. I appreciate everyone who has said well wishes and wished me the best. I did test positive for pneumonia, and I did get a test positive for the virus. I am completely symptom-free now and doing really well," he shared on April 1 about being tested for coronavirus. "Do not take this lightly. If you don't feel good, go to the doctor or go to the emergency room if you can't breathe because that's what happened to me. They didn't want to test me, and I forced them to take me to the emergency room, and lo and behold, pneumonia and the virus, so don't take it lightly. Take care of yourselves."
