See Altman's $17M Listing with a "Killer" View, "Outrageous" Stone, and $93K Rolex Bed
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent has 30 days to sell a jaw-dropping home for the second time.
Josh Altman is no stranger to selling incredible properties, but in the video above, the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent reveals he is preparing to sell a jaw-dropping house for the second time in two years.
In the clip, which is a preview of Season 15, Episode 5 of MDLLA, Josh has a conversation with a longtime client, Irina, about the gorgeous home she shares with her husband, Joe.
"I've known Joe and Irina for over a decade," Josh explains in an interview during the episode, which is set to air on August 7. "I originally met them in Chicago. Joe is the number one Rolls-Royce salesperson on the planet, and his wife, Irina, started a clothing company that has absolutely blown up."
Not only is Josh familiar with the clients, but he also knows their home very well.
"I sold this house almost two years ago to them, not even, to get away from the Chicago winters," he says.
As for why the couple wants to move so quickly, Irina explains, "We thought we'd be here more. We just are not here at all."
Details on Josh Altman's $16,995,000 Chalette Listing in Trousdale Estates
As Josh notes in the video above, the 6,200 square-foot home, built on a 21,000 square-foot lot, has many incredible features.
"I forgot how killer this view was," he declares.
Inside, Irina shares, "Everything in here is custom, one of a kind."
The material in one of the home's seven bathrooms particularly impresses Josh. "The stone in this house is outrageous," he says.
The primary bedroom has yet another show-stopping piece: a custom $93,000 Rolex bed frame topped with $9,400 Versace bedding.
In an episode interview, Josh explains why the neighborhood is particularly special.
"Trousdale is the gem of Beverly Hills proper," he says. "It is one of the top 10 communities in the entire country when it comes to price. The average price is over $11 million."
However, because the couple is selling the home so quickly after buying it, they may have to do so at a financial loss.
"When I sold this house to Joe and Irina, we thought they were going to have this house for a decade," Josh explains. "Yeah, of course, they'd end up making money in the long run and maybe it sells in the 20s. But if you're in and out of a house in a year, two years, [and the] market changes, you're not gonna make as much money as you would've last year if you bought a house. You're gonna lose money."
With that in mind, Josh, Matt Altman, and Irina agree to list the home for $16,995,000, just under Irina and Joe's $17,000,000 original purchase price.
However, if Joe and Irina drop the price, they want the deal done quickly.
"30 days to sell a house in Trousdale, it's not impossible. Can I do it? Yeah, I can do it," Josh says. "They're just going to have to really entertain any deal I put in front of them."
