See the Complete "Pages-Long" Text Josh Flagg Sent Josh Altman Amid Their Feud
Here's exactly what Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles' Josh Flagg said in his lengthy message to Josh Altman.
Josh Altman shared new insight into his listing drama with Josh Flagg on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles Season 15, Episode 2 by revealing the lengthy text message Flagg had recently sent him.
As Altman explained, "A couple of weeks ago, I get this text from Flagg. It's pages long. In the text, he says he wants to reevaluate what kind of friends we are."
Altman then scrolled through the message, which began with Flagg accusing Altman of "steal[ing]" the Readcrest listing from him. If you weren't fast enough to read the entire text (was anyone?), here's what it said in-part:
"It's just not a nice thing that friends do and truthfully, I swear to God on my life, there have been many opportunities that l've gone on listings where I could [sh-t] talking or do whatever and I've never so much as done that once, because I thought we had a different relationship. When we were not friends, there was no rules or nothing on the table. But it's just a really [sh-tty] feeling in between that and just all the other instances that I've given you, it doesn't feel good and to be quite honest I would hope that you would respect that I'm telling you all this instead of just blowing it off and pretending like I didn't know about it because I actually have respect for you and friends have enough respect to tell other friends when they're hurt about something or when they feel like [sh-t] about something and this is something that I think is really [sh-tty] and not something that I would ever do to you and it really makes me reevaluate what kind of friends we are."

Altman noted that, on a personal level, receiving the text hurt "a lot."
"I was always there for you," he said. "At some point, I started to realize, 'Man, this is really one-sided.' You never came over to hang out with my family, never asked about my kids. I was like, 'Josh Flagg just told me he wants to reevaluate our friendship, when our entire friendship since we stopped being enemies has been me there for him.'"
Josh Flagg explains his lengthy text message to Josh Altman
Flagg, for his part, said that the text was "mature" and "articulated beautifully." That said, he ultimately issued an apology.
"I apologize if my text message offended you. It wasn't me saying, 'f-ck you I don't want to be your friend,'" Flagg explained. "It was just me saying, 'I'm a little uncomfortable and I'm sad.' And it would be nice if you could just step out for a second and realize, 'Hey, I can see how that could hurt his feelings.'"
Flagg and Altman didn't immediately reconcile, but eventually, they both admitted they love one another.
Altman told Flagg, "So, I made a mistake, alright? On a listing that's turned into a nightmare. I am the realest friend you've ever had, because I don't need to be friends. I'm there for you because you're my family and I love you as a friend, not because I need anything from you. ... I'm there for you because we actually built that friendship over fifteen f-cking years."
In a confessional, Flagg added that he thinks they'll get through it. "While he can be a piece of sh-t sometimes, we have a great friendship," he said. "I love him like a brother, and no one is perfect."
Finally, they hugged it out.
What were Josh Flagg and Josh Altman fighting about?
Essentially, Flagg was upset that Altman landed the high-value Readcrest listing — even though they'd originally gone to the listing appointment together. Additionally, he felt Altman should have called him to tell him the news.
"Usually when you go on an appointment with somebody as a co-listing agent, you stick to it," Flagg explained on Season 15, Episode 1. "There are 100 times that I've gone on listing appointments with Josh, and we've teamed up together... I actually value the relationship and conduct myself in the way that I would want him to and I see that he's not playing by the same rules. That's when it bothers me, and it hurts my feelings."
