Flagg & Altman Have a Heated Confrontation Over Their Listing Drama: “That Bullsh-t Is Done”
MDLLA agents Josh Flagg and Josh Altman explain why they are "not the close friends" they used to be after an argument over a listing.
We're only two episodes into Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles Season 15, and the drama is already heating up. Seriously, soon we're going to have to jump into one of those newly listed infinity pools to cool off.
The latest issue? A rift between Josh Altman and Josh Flagg. After we first heard of the tiff surrounding a property nicknamed Readcrest in Episode 1, the men finally confronted each other in Episode 2 while out to lunch. Naturally, both had a lot to say about the matter — they basically jumped into it before even sitting down.
"On Readcrest, we went in there together and I expected we were going to end it together," explained Flagg during the Wednesday, July 17 episode. "Now comes a year and a half later, I see that it's on the market, and I was just like, 'Whoa.' Maybe a phone call, just explaining something, would be courteous?"
After arguing it out a bit, Altman explained he was upset that Flagg had insinuated he doesn't care about his feelings.
"You have to stop with your schtick," he said. "Yeah, no. That bullsh-t is done. So roll correct and be a real friend, or don't be a friend. Okay? But don't say it's about your feelings again. It's not about your feelings."

Josh Altman Shares His Side of the Listing Drama with Josh Flagg
Altman noted that while, yes, they visited the property together over a year prior, they weren't offered the listing back then. In the next year-and-a-half, he'd "worked his ass off" and showed the house seven times to seven different clients. Eventually, he got a call from the owner saying that the person she'd signed didn't sell the house, and she wanted him back.
"I said, 'What about Josh Flagg?' She said, 'We don't want him. He doesn't like modern houses.'" (In a confessional, Flagg disputed this, saying he "sells everything as long as the check clears.") Continuing on, Altman noted that "life happened" and although he probably should've called, he didn't "take" the listing.
"I did what made me the best in the business, and that's why I got this listing. I don't feel bad for you," he added.
Soon enough, the men were talking all at once. While Flagg said Altman was getting "aggressive," he denied it — and countered that, on the contrary, a text he'd received from Flagg a few weeks prior was aggressive.
Josh Flagg Explains Why He and Josh Altman Are No Longer "Close Friends"
Earlier in the episode, the men also touched on the issue.
"Altman and I are not the close friends that we were this time last year," explained Flagg in an interview. "Then, we went on a listing appointment, and then he listed the property without me. I really did think we had an understanding, but it's really hurtful."
Later, Altman shared a take in his own confessional.
"There's always a little part of me that's not going to write Flagg off 100 percent," he said. "I almost feel like we need to renegotiate our deal as friends. Because it's different now."
Why are Josh Flagg and Josh Altman no longer friends?
The drama all started in Episode 1 when Flagg found out he wasn't sharing the listing of a $15,888,888 house that he went to the listing appointment for.
"Altman and I went on that listing appointment together," Flagg explained in an episode interview.
Later, he shot down the idea of going to the open house.
"I'm not supporting someone who f-cking hijacked the listing that we went on together," he said. "F-ck that."
In a confessional, he expanded on his anger. "Usually when you go on an appointment with somebody as a co-listing agent, you stick to it," Flagg shared. "There are 100 times that I've gone on listing appointments with Josh, and we've teamed up together. ... I actually value the relationship and conduct myself in the way that I would want him to and I see that he's not playing by the same rules. That's when it bothers me, and it hurts my feelings."
Later in Episode 1, Altman shared his take on the situation.
"I'm having some issues with Flagg," he told Tracy Tutor. "We went on a listing appointment together because that was when we were super tight. I kept in touch with that lady, and she called me up. She's like, 'Hey, now's the time. I want to co-list with you.' And I asked her straight up, I was like, 'What about Flagg?'... She said straight up, 'I just want you.'"
Tracy noted that she thinks Altman is in the wrong.
"Altman should have picked up the phone and called Flagg. Period," she said.
Where do Josh Altman and Josh Flagg stand today?
In the end, the men ended their sit-down on Episode 2 on a positive note — and even went in with a hug.
"So, I made a mistake, alright? On a listing that's turned into a nightmare," Altman said. "I am the realest friend you've ever had, because I don't need to be friends. I'm there for you because you're my family and I love you as a friend, not because I need anything from you. ... I'm there for you because we actually built that friendship over fifteen f-cking years."
In a confessional, Flagg added that he thinks they'll get through it. "While he can be a piece of sh-t sometimes, we have a great friendship. I love him like a brother, and no one is perfect."
With that being said, we don't know what's to come for the Joshes this season. In a June 2024 interview with The Daily Dish, Altman said that they're "not in the place that we used to be."
"When you mix business and friendship, it’s gonna tend to happen more often than not," he admitted. "Especially the two of us, because we’re dealing with the same properties a lot... we’ll go up against each other a lot. So I think that probably magnifies it."
