Josh Flagg Announced He Moved to a New Agency: "I'm Thrilled for the Future"
Find out why the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles realtor is "excited" to join this new brokerage.
Josh Flagg recently announced a new collaboration with his former Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles castmates James Harris and David Parnes, but that was hardly his only big move recently. Now, the West Coast realtor has more news: he’s joining a new brokerage firm.
On March 12, Josh took to his Instagram page to share the big career news. “I am excited to share that I have navigated to Compass, the number one brokerage in the United States,” he wrote in the caption of a photo of himself with word of the news.

Before this move, Josh was an agent at Rodeo Realty before switching to Douglas Elliman in 2021 (where his MDLLA castmates, Josh and Matt Altman plus Tracy Tutor still work).
Josh shared in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter: “While I am grateful for my years at Douglas Elliman, especially my colleagues who are like family, I look forward to my next venture. I love Elliman and wish everyone at the firm my very best. We all have amazing relationships and do business together, I don’t see this changing our dynamic in any way whatsoever.”
More of Josh Flagg’s recent career ventures
In addition to his real estate career, Josh has also veered into another territory: the media landscape.
In 2023, the realtor launched Estate Media, which "brings together luxury real estate's biggest personalities" to deliver digital media through podcasts, videos, a newsletter, and social content that "entertains and informs,” per the company’s website. Josh’s former MDLLA castmates, James and David, recently joined the company’s talent roster.
Is Josh Flagg leaving Los Angeles?
Though Josh shared in July 2023 that he bought a four-bedroom home in Miami, Florida, he confirmed via Instagram at the time that he was “not moving to Florida,” but simply chose the sunny getaway for a special vacation home.
Josh reaffirmed that sentiment with The Hollywood Reporter, noting that he’s only been to the Miami home “once for 45 minutes,” and is still committed to living full-time in Los Angeles.
