Josh Flagg Reveals the Secrets of His Success
The 'MDLLA' agent also opens up about life in front of the cameras.
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles' Josh Flagg is one of the top ten real estate agents in Los Angeles, with over a billion dollars worth of property sold and celebrity clientele that includes Merv Griffin and Adam Levine. So to what does the young agent attribute his success?
"I don’t sell crap. My reputation is on the line," Josh tells Forbes. "If you call me to sell a home and I don’t believe in it, I won’t take it. When I say crap, I am not referring to a price point. I am saying that if your house is worth two and you want five, I am not interested. I sell everything from $500k to $150 million. If it is sell-able, I can move it."
Josh is equally as candid about his own expertise. "I know more about the history of luxury real estate in Beverly Hills then anyone I have ever come in contact with. I can tell you who bought a house, sold a house, when they bought it, and how much they owe on it (going back to 1929)," he says without hubris, going on to explain, "I am a fourth generation Los Angeleno on my mothers side. I have never lived anywhere else and I live, eat, and breathe what I do."
And with all that, Josh is adamant that what you see on the show is exactly what you get with him, carpet slippers and all. "I am not a character on a show. I am me, and there just happens to be a camera following me," he explains. "There is no acting required. It’s like watching me talk to myself in the mirror (which I have done before)."
Make sure to catch Josh in the new season of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, premiering on August 20th at 9/8c.
