Carole Radziwill Defends Jules Wainstein's Decision to Open Up About Her Health and Marriage

"It's really hard," the #RHONY author said of Jules' struggles this season.

Carole Radziwill and Jules Wainstein haven't always gotten along on The Real Housewives of New York City. Things got particularly heated between the two when Jules accused Carole and Bethenny Frankel of making insensitive comments about her eating disorder during a group dinner at Joanne Trattoria.

But Carole came to Jules' defense during a recent interview on SiriusXM's Wake Up with Taylor as the RHONY author discussed the newbie's decision to share her health and marital issues with viewers. "People with addictions like that, reality TV is so stressful," Carole said. "You have, like, a struggling marriage, two babies, and an eating disorder. It's really hard."

Jules previously told Andy Cohen why she decided to be open about her health season during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in May, saying that if it feels appropriate, as it did when she told Bethenny during lunch, she's not afraid to speak about it. "I'm hoping for it to be a positive thing, and I'm very open about it," she said. "I'm hoping that maybe someone watching, a viewer watching, will see my story and I can maybe help them."
