Kandi Burruss Opens Up About the Other Special Guy in Her Life, DonJuan Clark

Kandi Burruss' longtime business associate and friend, DonJuan Clark, is definitely not a stranger to fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. DonJuan has appeared on RHOA from time to time since he is a member of Kandi's inner circle; he works as the general manager at Kandi Koated Entertainment and is the administrative manager at Old Lady Gang. And now fans are getting to see more sides of DonJuan on Kandi & The Gang since, as Kandi put it in a recent interview with Bravo Insider, "he's more involved this time around."

"Well, I mean, he's been out there this whole time. Like people have started getting to know him through Real Housewives over the years. And I mean, we've been there [a] long time. So people feel like they know DonJuan. But yes, it is kind of cool because they will get to, like, go into his house," she said, with husband and business partner, Todd Tucker, adding in the same interview with Bravo Insider that fans will have the chance to "see his personal world."

And while fans may feel like they know him from his appearances on RHOA over the years, Kandi noted they may have a certain idea of him from those cameos that may change once they get to know him "more on a personal level" on Kandi & The Gang. "I think sometimes on Real Housewives, because he's taken up for me on the times that he's been on, I feel like people vilify DonJuan," she said of the misconception. "But on this show, it's like he's just himself. He gets to be his natural self, without being automatically put in [that] role."

Kandi and DonJuan have been working side by side for years, and there's a good reason for it. "He has the same mentality of go hard or go home," Kandi said. "He's like, we go nonstop. I mean, obviously, we have a million different things happening. And it's just all about, let's get it done. He's never gonna sit here and try to be like, 'Oh, it's not gonna happen, oh no.' He's … it's like, 'OK, let's figure it out.' We just have a lot of sleepless nights that we all share, trying to make things happen for the overall goals that we share."

DonJuan seemed to comment on his bond with Kandi in a recent Instagram post, sharing a photo alongside his longtime business associate with the caption, "There are some people who are attached to you and some people who are assigned to you! Know the difference!"

His official BravoTV.com profile states: "Known to many as Kandi's 'right hand,' DonJuan is an instinctive business professional who is the general manager of Kandi Koated Entertainment, overseeing all entities of Kandi's empire, including Old Lady Gang! This German-born, UNC-Chapel Hill graduate dives into all areas of business in order to ensure its success. Taking guidance from his friends and leaders, Kandi and Todd, DonJuan aims to be the next wave of new age millionaires!"

He opened up more about himself in a video he shared on his Instagram around the time Kandi & The Gang premiered. In it, he reveals a bit about his childhood: "One thing about me that is interesting to know would be that I am a military brat. So, my mother was in the army, my dad was in the army, and my stepdad was in the army, so I was raised definitely very military."

He goes on to describe himself as "a little neurotic at points, but also very direct."
