Kandi Burruss Will Have You Tearing Up with Her Message to Her Surrogate and Dr. Jackie Walters
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mogul feels like she "gained a friend" in her daughter's surrogate.
Kandi Burruss just welcomed daughter Blaze Tucker into the world, and she couldn't have done it without two very special people: her surrogate, Shadina Blunt, and her OGBYN, Dr. Jackie Walters.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mogul recently shared a heartfelt post on Instagram showing gratitude to Shadina and Dr. Jackie following the birth of her baby girl on November 22. "I’m still in awe of my baby girl @blazetucker! I just wanna say thank you sooooo much to @therealdrjackie [and] @shadinablunt for helping us bring our beautiful baby girl in the world. There are no words that can express our gratitude!" Kandi gushed on Instagram. "@shadinablunt is normally a super private person so helping us in this journey has been different for her. Please send love [and] light to her [and] @therealdrjackie! They mean a lot to our family."
Kandi also let fans into the moments before her daughter's delivery when she, Shadina, and Dr. Jackie had a little dance party while waiting for baby Blaze's arrival. In the video on Instagram, Kandi and Dr. Jackie drop it like it's hot, which Shadina also wanted to do, but the Married to Medicine OBGYN wisely advised her against.
These moments in the delivery room with Shadina and Dr. Jackie will always be cherished by Kandi. "Everybody’s relationship with their surrogate is different but in my case I definitely feel like I gained a new friend," she shared in the post. "It was team work getting @blazetucker here. In the delivery room we were laughing, dancing, doing what we could to help Shadina through the delivery."
Dr. Jackie also had some fun times with Kandi and her son Ace at the hospital after Blaze was born, as you can see in the below photo. "Surrogacy is a GIFT and I want you to realize how attainable this gift really is to other couples," Dr. Jackie said of Kandi's photo on Instagram.
Blaze was born at 6:54 p.m. on November 22 weighing 8 pounds and 1 ounce. "Our little angel is doing well!" Kandi wrote in a post on Instagram on November 23 that featured the first photo of her daughter. "Thank you to everyone for the love [and] well wishes! She’s gonna Blaze a path to greatness! @blazetucker is our newest heartbeat."
The newest Atlanta babies will be at the center of the drama in an all-new RHOA Sunday at 8/7c. Check out a preview, below.
