Kandi Burruss Is About to Make Her Broadway Debut as Mama Morton in Chicago
Tickets for a special eight-week engagement are on sale now.
Kandi Burruss revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in November that she won't be recording new music with Xscape after she finishes their current nationwide reunion live concert tour, and she teased what she will be doing in the new year.
"I'm going to be doing Broadway and some other things, and they're going to be doing new music," she told Andy Cohen.
It's now official: The Real Housewives of Atlanta singer will play Matron "Mama" Morton in Chicago, the longest-running Broadway musical of all time, from January 15 through March 11 at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City.
Tickets for Kandi's Broadway run in Chicago are available through Telecharge.
