Like any parent, Kandi Burruss is having all the feelings about sending her kid off to college for the first time. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member recently shared an emotional Instagram post in honor of daughter Riley Burruss, who moved to New York to start her freshman year at NYU last month.

On September 18, Kandi took to social media to share a series of adorable photos featuring her eldest child through the years, from her childhood days up until right before she left for college. And from the sounds of it, the mom of three is still adjusting to not having Riley at home.

“Since I miss my first born so much, I will gladly take on the
#firstbornchallenge. I miss my baby @rileyburruss!” she wrote in the caption alongside the pictures. “She’s away at #NYU doing her own thing. My [heart].”

Riley sent some love back to her mom, responding to the post by writing, "Awe I miss you!"

Though she may still be getting used to being away from her family, Riley has stayed busy since moving to Manhattan in mid-August. After completing a mandated two-week quarantine, the college freshman has been getting to know her new neighborhood, as she captured in several Instagram photos.

"Chillin in the city," she captioned one picture.
