Karen Huger Reveals Where She and Gizelle Bryant Stand Ahead of RHOP Season 8
Karen Huger said she and Gizelle Bryant are "the greatest frenemies on Bravo's platform" during BravoCon 2023.
The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 premieres Sunday, November 5, so it's time to ask the big, yearly question: Are Karen Huger and Gizelle Bryant on good terms?
While we'll have to wait and see what happens this season, the Grand Dame gave a hint at her current standing with Gizelle during BravoCon 2023. Sitting down for the "Sharp-Witted" panel on Day 2 alongside The Real Housewives of Dubai's Chanel Ayan and The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Shereé Whitfield, Karen was asked by moderator Kate Chastain about the shadiest person at BravoCon.
"I love you and Gizelle's relationship. It's like, you shade each other constantly, but you enjoy it! Are you guys actually secret friends?" asked the Below Deck alum.
Read on to hear her answer.
Where Karen Huger and Gizelle Bryant Currently Stand
"You know, Gizelle and I have the longest relationship on RHOP. And let's be clear: We are the greatest frenemies on Bravo's platform," Karen said. "We go in, but we don't cut each other to the bone. And we live to hug another day. It might take five years, but we know it's coming."
Noting that she doesn't regret anything she's said on her show, Karen also discussed the shadiest thing someone has said to her at BravoCon.
"Everyone likes to try me. And the longer I stay on this platform, I think you guys will agree, they just need the light. So I get to decide who I shine my light on. Sometimes I just dismiss you because I don't have the energy to just waste it on you," she said. "Is that a read?"
What Else Karen Huger Shared at BravoCon 2023
Later, Karen shared a big career update. “Thank you guys so much for supporting the La'Dame brand,” she said, adding that “it really is killing it. I really appreciate you guys.”
What's more, Karen revealed that she has another passion project in the works concerning her family history. Karen is known for her strong familial bond and roots to growing up on a Virginia farm that’s been in her family for a century, and she explained at BravoCon, "I bought my grandmother's estate and I'm turning that into a guest house, the Grand Dame.”
“So La'Dame will be there," she added, "and you guys can have experiences there. Stay tuned.”
