Karen Huger has been transparent during Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Potomac about the issues she was facing in her marriage to Ray Huger. And on the September 27 episode of RHOP, the couple took fans inside a counseling session to "reconnect" and get to the bottom of some of their "real issues," as Karen said in the episode. Now, the grande dame is shedding some light on that moment.
She took to Twitter on Sunday and wrote, "Marriage is work. Family is everything! #Priorities."
During the counseling session (clip above), Karen and Ray each opened up about how they feel about the current state of their relationship after over two decades together and two kids later.
While sitting down with the counselor, Karen shared that she was still very much in love with Ray even as their marriage has evolved with Karen taking on projects outside of the marriage. Ray shared a different take on his feelings for his longtime partner sharing that "I think I am" in love with Karen still, which left his wife upset.
However, 2020 has definitely brought the couple closer together. They recently celebrated 24 years of marriage, and Karen shared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that being self-quarantined together during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic helped them grow closer.
"I would say it's helped us. Look, it's one-on-one; it's me and Ray and it's really given us time to have that quality time and work it out, baby," she said on WWHL back in August. "And that's what we're doing."
