Karen Huger was hard at work in her duties as ambassador to Surry County, Virginia just weeks after being sworn in during the September 12 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. In the episode, Karen worked on her tourism video with the film crew shooting with her in Potomac, not Surry County.

How to Watch

She noted in the episode that the filming was for "some preliminary shooting" for the video. "We call this a trial run, but my hometown Surry County is within me, so wherever I go, it's Surry County," she said, later adding, "I don't limit myself when it comes to giving back to my community or being a voice to the voiceless; I'm educating the world on Surry County."

Karen, who noted in the episode that she's "proud of all" that her hometown has to offer tourists, later explained a bit more about the shoot on social media and shared more insight into the production of the tourism video. "Thank you Potomac for offering me a place to PRACTICE my Surry County Ambassador video. The actual shoot was in the beautiful Surry County, VA," Karen clarified on Twitter and Instagram. "We welcome you. Please enjoy."

Weeks ago, Karen opened up about her hometown and the important role she has as an ambassador to the area. "Surry County is where my [heart] is. As my first official duty to the county, we’ve produced Surry County's tourism video," she wrote on Instagram. "I welcome and invite you to experience the history and culture Surry County has to offer!"

The topic definitely was on the mind of Andy Cohen, who seemed confused by the shoot location as he expressed to guest Mia Thornton on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this past Sunday (clip below).

However, Mia had her pal's back when she appeared on WWHL on Sunday (September 12). "I'm gonna stand behind my girl 'cause I love Karen so much," she said.

Should Karen Huger Apologize to Surry County?
