"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, I have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new land based role," she wrote. "I intend to step back as a senior member of the Below Deck Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support His Majesty Andy Cohen.”

Of course, Kate's big news has sent shockwaves among fans and the Below Deck family alike. But the response the longtime chief stew has received in return has been filled with nothing but love.

Past and present members of the Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean crews shared the warmest well wishes for Kate in the comments to her post on Instagram. "I couldn’t love you more. I COULDN’T," Below Deck Season 7 stew Courtney Skippon gushed in the comments.
