Make Your Reservations: Kathy Wakile Is Opening a Restaurant
The #RHONJ mom is ready to serve you something delicious.
Ever wanted to try some of Kathy Wakile's food for yourself? Well, now is your chance. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom and cookbook author confirmed that she, her husband, Richie, and two friends will open a restaurant called Pizza Love in New Jersey this June.
“It’s something I’ve been wanting for such a long time,” she told Page Six. “I’ve talked about it in the past but the timing wasn’t right, [and] now I have the time to devote to it.”
She calls the endeavor “a great joint effort” for her team, and adds that the menu will be seasonal. “I’ll be changing it up depending on the season. That’s how I like to cook; depending on the season and what people are looking for, she said.
Pizza (obviously) and Mediterranean-influenced foods will make the cut, as well as recipes from Kathy's own arsenal. “Cannolis will be on the menu for sure," she added.
Kathy has been busy prepping the restaurant for its grand opening, sharing a photo of herself shopping for chairs for the new eatery.
She spoke more about the upcoming venture to NorthJersey.com, noting that "it's an extension of home. A place people can come in and taste a piece of love."
She also told NJ.com that she will take a trip to Italy for some inspiration for the restaurant's menu. "It's kind of like a culinary adventure so we can bring those trends back to New Jersey and keep it authentic."
