The Below Deck Mediterranean crew really pulled out all the stops for the latest charter of Season 6. After some major drama earlier this season, the Lady Michelle yachties really came together to give the charter guests an incredible experience, which included a never easy-to-assemble slide, Beer Olympics, and an Oktoberfest celebration.
However, there was still some room for improvement, according to co-primary Patrick, and he let the crew know exactly what could have been better during the charter as he and his fellow guests disembarked the yacht during the August 23 episode.
"This was our second time doing something like this with you, [Captain Sandy Yawn], and it turned out great. But, being business owners, I just figured, like, you would want to know experiences that we had that we think we could maybe improve on a little," he told the Below Deck Med boss. "We felt like there was a little lack of attention for us. I actually had to make my own drink this morning."
"I don't want to be negative. Your saving grace is right there. [Mathew Shea]'s food was ridiculous. It was amazing. Deck crew, you guys were badass. You took care of us," Patrick continued. "There were just those moments where it felt like we couldn't find anybody."
As you can see, most of Patrick's criticism was directed toward the interior team, which did not sit well at all with chief stew Katie Flood, as she expressed in the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show, above. "I've never heard that before," Katie said of the charter guest's feedback in the clip exclusive to Bravo Insider members. "I was fuming inside. Like, I don't even know what my facial reaction is, but I remember just, like, inside was burning. Ugh, I'm so angry."
Katie went on to explain why it hurt so much to get a critique like that. "To get a comment like that from a charter guest, a repeat charter guest, it's like embarrassing to me. It's so embarrassing, because I feel like I work my ass off. Like, I sacrifice myself and my breaks for my interior team," she shared. "And just get that in return, it's just pure disrespect. And it was all because of one person."
The chief stew and the rest of the Lady Michelle crew open up more about what went wrong during the charter in the After Show, which you can check out, above.
However, one thing that seemed to go very right during the charter was the Oktoberfest party — well, that was until Lloyd Spencer showed up in his beer costume. "The daughter was dressed as a beer as well," Lloyd shared in the below clip from the After Show. "And I have never been stared at with such dagger eyes because I was wearing the same outfit as her."
Chef Mat confirmed that "she didn't really like it that he was a beer, too," and Courtney Veale described the tension on the yacht in that moment like so: "Everyone was like, 'oh, s--t,' because they were kind of trying to outdo each other on beer costumes."
So, who wore it better? Find out in the above clip, along with more behind-the-scenes scoop, including why Lexi Wilson really skipped out on the Oktoberfest festivities.
