Katie Maloney Wasn't Surprised by Jax and Brittany Split: "I Really Don't Like That Man"
"Eventually all of us, when we get married, get fed up after some time, so good for her," Katie Maloney said on a recent appearance of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Katie Maloney admittedly hasn’t been close with Brittany Cartwright “for a while,” but she still wants the best for the Vanderpump Rules alum.
Katie dropped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Tuesday night to dish on all the latest reality drama and answered a viewer asking for her take on Brittany’s recent split from husband, Jax Taylor.
“Were you shocked?” Andy Cohen asked.
“I mean, no,” Katie replied, before admitting she and Brittany haven’t stayed in touch thanks to Jax.
“Obviously, our friendship has been strained for a while, because Jax,” she said, before giving a knowing look. “I don’t really like that man.”
How does Katie Maloney feel about Jax and Brittany’s split?
Yet, even with the distance that’s grown between them, Katie is still hoping everything turns out well for the mom of one.

Why did Jax and Brittany separate?
Brittany announced last month that she and Jax were “taking time apart” after five years of marriage to reevaluate their relationship.
“Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health," Brittany explained in a Feb. 29 episode of her podcast When Reality Hits. "I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still very hard to talk about and I’m taking things one day at a time."
Brittany opened up more about the difficult decision and what led her to walk away from the marriage in a recent interview with Page Six.
“We’ve been together nine years, and people stop appreciating and take you for granted after some time, and that should never happen in a marriage,” Brittany revealed “So, that’s what I’m trying to get back, and if it doesn’t come back, we won’t get back together.”
In a teaser for the couple’s new reality series The Valley, which premiered Tuesday, March 19, Brittany also confessed to cast member Janet Caperna that the couple was struggling in the bedroom.
“We don’t have sex ever,” she said.
What does Katie Maloney think about Tom Schwartz's new girlfriend?
Katie is no stranger to marital woes herself. She and Tom Schwartz divorced in 2022 after 12 years together.
Her ex made headlines earlier this month after rumors that he was dating Sophia Skoro, a 23-year-old recent college graduate, began to swirl when she posted a video of the pair dancing together on TikTok, according to Page Six.
Katie was asked about the possible new love interest during her appearance on WWHL.
“Do you wish the best for him or is she way too young for him?” Andy asked while reading a viewer question.
“I wish the best for him,” Katie replied. “I really want him to find somebody special.”
But Katie still snuck in a joke that she believed younger people were better for some extracurricular fun rather than a serious dating relationship.
“We have fun with them,” she joked.
Katie also teased that the long-awaited sandwich shop, Something About Her, which she will own with pal Ariana Madix, will be opening “very soon.”
