Kenya Moore's journey to motherhood hasn't been easy. After years of expressing her desire to start a family, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum announced that she had gotten pregnant via IVF last spring despite having to treat fibroids since she was in her early 30s. Kenya underwent an emergency cesarean section to deliver her daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly, on November 4 after she had revealed that she may have preeclampsia, a condition that had caused her to gain "17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine."
Kenya shared that she had "lost a lot of blood" and she was "very weak" following the birth of her little girl last weekend. But she said that she and her family "are blessed and doing well."
Kenya still has a long road ahead of her as she recovers from her daughter's delivery. However, she has friends like Kandi Burruss to help her get through these challenging times.
Kenya recently expressed her gratitude for the beautiful bouquet of flowers Kandi sent her after giving birth. "Having a tough day of recovery and just got these! So gorgeous feeling so emotional!" Kenya gushed on Instagram. "Thank you @kandi for being you and all your generosity from you and your family! I love you mama!"
Kandi also cheered Kenya and her husband, Marc Daly, on during an interview with The Daily Dish earlier this week. "I feel like Kenya's gonna be an amazing mother. She loves kids — that's all she ever talked about up until this point. So now she has a new baby girl to just love on all day, use all her Kenya Moore haircare [products on], 'cause this baby has a lot of hair," Kandi shared. "And she's in a great place. [She and Marc] are truly in love. I actually hang with them outside of the show, no cameras around. This has nothing to do with TV — she's happy and I'm happy to see it."
Kandi spills more tea on the RHOA couple, below.
