As Kenya and Marc try to figure out their next steps during their separation in the current Season 13 of RHOA, one viewer wanted to know more about their pre-wedding days during the March 7 Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show (clip above). Specifically, the fan asked Kenya if she now felt like not meeting Marc's family prior to their nuptials was a "red flag."

"Not immediately," Kenya replied. "Because he didn't meet my family either until much later when my grandmother passed [in July 2017]. And his family lives in another state, so you know, it happens when you have family that live all over."

Kenya clarified her comments about Marc's parents during an earlier appearance on WWHL in April 2020. "Yeah, I met them before. They came to my baby shower. We were in communication then. I just think that whatever happened in that relationship is between them. I get answers, but the answers that I get don't quite make any sense — and, so it's like, could he be able to pick up the phone and call my mother? That's how he looks at it," Kenya said, referring to her estranged relationship with her mom.

She added, "But he has his own issues that he needs to work out, and I just don't get in the middle of it."

Kenya opened up to her father, Ronald, via FaceTime about what's been going on in her relationship with Marc as they figure out their legal matters in the most recent episode of RHOA that aired on March 7. "My dad is a man who I respect. He can be very rough around the edges. But he's a softy on the inside," Kenya said in an interview during the episode. "Since Marc and I have been separated, I just need a father's advice, and it's really brought us closer."

She also shared, "I made the very bad decision not to invite my dad to my wedding because I didn't think my dad would get along with Marc, and I regret it."

During their conversation, Ronald noted that he doesn't "know Marc well enough to say anything at all about what's going on in his mind" and that he's "only seen TV stuff." He also said that he hasn't really "been around" Kenya and Marc "to actually just sit and observe how he really is, but there's animosity towards you [Kenya]."

But, as Ronald saw things, Kenya and Marc need to talk about their relationship because communication is key. "That's one thing that's important. Gotta get your husband to talk to you," Ronald told his daughter. "You wanna go your own way? Let's get the terms of how the way we're gonna do this thing and get on with it."

Kenya agreed and showed her love to her dad. "Yes, I'm having a big birthday coming up, and I don't want to be in limbo with my life," she said.
