See the Moment Kanye West Heard Kim Kardashian Was Robbed in Paris
The rapper wasted no time shutting down his New York concert due to a "family emergency."
Kanye West may have been miles and miles away from Kim Kardashian the night she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, but the rapper quickly responded to the news — on stage, mid-performance. Yeezy was playing at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival in New York on Sunday around the time of the incident and stopped in the middle of the track "Heartless," before canceling the rest of his set.
In video posted to Twitter, the rapper tells the audience, "I'm sorry there's a family emergency. I have to stop the show."
According to reports, Kim was robbed of $10 million worth of jewelry as well as cell phones, after being held at gunpoint by two armed, masked men while in Paris for Fashion Week. Kim and Kanye's children, North and Saint, were reportedly not present at the time of the incident. TMZ reports that Kanye was spotted in NY early Monday making his way to a local airport to pick up Kim, who left Paris via private jet following the robbery.
Kim's rep shared an update on how the reality star was doing in the wake of the incident. "Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed," her rep told E! News in a statement. The normally active Kim has yet to address the robbery on any of her social media accounts as of press time.
