After a lifetime spent on the screen, Kim Richards is opening up like never before in her upcoming memoir.
Kim is getting real about her life in the public eye in her forthcoming book, The Whole Truth: The Reality of It All, out April 28. “I’ve come to learn that holding onto secrets is like holding your breath," Kim said in a statement on HarperCollins Publishers' website. "Finally, I feel strong enough to speak my truth. I am unafraid and unapologetic. I am ready.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum promises to give us even greater insight into the woman we see on TV in her new book. "The Whole Truth is the harrowing, all-too-real, and ultimately empowering story of a woman who has been through hell and back, endured, grew strong, and learned to become her own fiercest advocate," the book's description reads.
This "soul-baring confession" will cover Kim's life as a child star, a wife, a sister, and a celebrity. "But above all else, it is a triumphant tale of a determined woman who refused to be broken—a fierce, loving, and relatable human who is strong, flawed, and real," the memoir's page said, adding that it will be an "unvarnished, painful, and authentic" read.
Kim admitted that it was "rough" reflecting on her past while speaking about her book to Page Six at BravoCon in November. “I’ve always been spiritual, but then I really started digging in and looking at really, like, who I was, who I became and who I am today,” she shared. “Only time knows who I’ll end up being. I’m really continuing to grow and it’s been a process. Looking back at my life, every bit of it from the beginning, was very, wow. Some of the … painful parts were tough. It’s been beautiful, too. I’ve grown a lot.”
