Kim Zolciak-Biermann's Son Kane Was Involved in a Go-Kart Crash
"I start losing my s--t," the Don't Be Tardy mom recalled of the incident.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann opened up about a recent scary incident involving her youngest son, Kane.
The Don't Be Tardy matriarch shared that her 6-year-old's go-kart crashed outside their home in a series of videos in her Instagram Story on Thursday, January 2, according to PEOPLE. Kim said that her sons recently rode their go-karts around the neighborhood, while she and husband Kroy Biermann followed in their golf cart. “I’m very intuitive so before we go, I said to Kroy that Kane needs to be in the middle between KJ and Kash,” Kim recalled. “Everyone knows I’m the nervous Nelly in the family — I’m very protective — so my kids are my whole life and I’m always thinking safety first and that sort of thing. There’s no real reason why I put Kane in the middle other than I felt something very strange and I had a dream that he needs to be in the middle.”
Suddenly, Kim said that she "heard a bang." “And I was like, ‘Kroy, what was that?’ And he’s like, ‘I don’t know,’" Kim said. "I start losing my s--t and I said, ‘Kroy I think he’s over there.’ There’s this huge pile of rocks and so Kroy starts walking towards the rocks to see if Kane is there.”
Kim explained that she stayed behind “because ever since the incident with Kash," in which her son was bitten by one of the family's dogs, Sinn, in 2017, "I immediately shut down and start panicking.” "I see my husband like Superman take the entire go-kart and flip it with Kane inside," Kim said. "Kane was upside down.”
According to PEOPLE, Kim showed the helmet Kane had been wearing while riding in the go-kart, which had been completely destroyed during the crash but saved him from any major injuries. “I want you guys to understand the importance of a helmet whether they’re on a scooter or a bike or a go-kart. It ultimately saved Kane’s life," Kim said in her Instagram Story. "I was so distraught I poured a glass of wine and Kroy just hugged me tight and I cried."
