Kyle Richards Says The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Saved Sister Kim Richards' Life

“If anything, being on the show made her accountable," Kyle Richards shared.

It's not easy being in the public eye, especially during the more challenging moments of one's life.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

No one knows that better than Kim Richards, whose personal struggles have been documented on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and in the press over the years. However, Kim's sister Kyle Richards said that joining RHOBH back in Season 1 actually helped save her life.

“If anything, being on the show made her accountable and she says that as well. She says that it saved her life because you know, there’s nowhere to hide and everyone knows — now anywhere she goes, people know who she is," Kyle shared during a recent interview on SiriusXM's The Jenny McCarthy Show. "She can’t get away with anything! So it actually helped her!”

Kim returned to RHOBH earlier this season to help celebrate her niece's 30th birthday at her Farrahween party (clip above). This has become one of the most memorable moments of the season, thanks to Lisa Rinna, clad in her Erika Jayne costume, calling Kim "c---y" for returning the stuffed animal bunny at the RHOBH Season 7 reunion and the ladies' subsequent "miracle" reconciliation (more on that in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 9 After Show, above).

Kyle also shared an update on how Kim has been doing since we last saw her on RHOBH. “The audience loves her and you know she has a lot going on in her life right now," she told Jenny McCarthy. "She has two new grandchildren actually.”

Kim's daughter, Brooke Wiederhorn, welcomed her second child, son Hunter, in April. Brooke and her husband, Thayer Wiederhorn, are also parents to 2-year-old son Hucksley. "Welcome Hunter Montgomery. @brookewiederhorn [and] @thayerwiederhorn have brought another beautiful baby boy into our life," Kim gushed on Instagram following Hunter's birth. "I now have two of most amazing, beautiful, perfect grandsons in the whole world. I am over joyed with gratitude & love!! There is no love like this!! I am so proud, excited, and I feel incredibly blessed. I love you you all so very much."

Watch Kyle dish more on Kim's recent return to RHOBH during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on June 11, below.
