Who Is Kyle Richards' Daughter, Sophia Umansky? (PHOTOS)
Meet the third eldest Richards-Umansky daughter, Sophia Kylie Umansky, who her RHOBH mom says has a "strong personality."
While each of Kyle Richards' four daughters has a bit of their mom's spunkiness to brag about, they're also oh-so-cool on their own accord. Take Sophia Umansky, for example, the third eldest of Kyle and Mauricio Umansky's daughters, who is certainly a taller mini of her mom, but, as you'll discover, she's also so Sophia.
Ahead, everything to know about Sophia Kylie Umansky — including her career, romantic life, and current living situation.
How old is Sophia Umansky?
A Y2K baby through and through (if you've ever looked at her Instagram account, you'll know she loves an early aughts hairstyle), Sophia was born on January 18, 2000. She turned 24 in January 2024.
If that's hard to believe, it's understandable — Sophia was only 10 years old when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered in 2010.
What is Sophia Umansky's middle name?
Sophia's full name, including her middle name, is Sophia Kylie Umansky. And, yes, it does sound a bit like her mom's first name, Kyle!
How many daughters does Kyle Richards have?
Kyle has four daughters, Sophia included. Her eldest is Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, who she shares with her first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie. After separating from the real estate agent (he's also in the biz!) she married Mauricio and had Alexia Umansky, Sophia, and baby Portia Umansky.
"With my girls, they just love each other so much," Kyle said during an appearance of the Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa podcast in March 2024. “They get along so well. They’re all so different. They have so much respect for each other.”
Where did Sophia Umansky go to college?
As RHOBH fans might recall from Season 9, Sophia headed across the country to attend The George Washington University in Washington DC. She graduated in May 2022 with a Bachelors degree in psychology. While at school, she was in Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
“So incredibly proud of you [Sophia],” Kyle wrote in an Instagram post celebrating the achievement. “I love you so much [and] am so proud of you every day. But today my heart was bursting with pride.”
Prior to her daughter leaving for school, Kyle told The Daily Dish in February 2017 that she was "gonna be tortured when Sophia leaves."
"Sophia has a very strong personality. When she's not home, the house just feels very quiet. Like, oh, Sophia's not here. You can tell the second you step foot in the door," Kyle shared. "So when she goes to college, it's gonna be a very big adjustment."
Who is Sophia Umansky dating?
During a June 2024 Amazon Live stream, Kyle spilled the beans that Sophia is no longer single. The insight came after Sophia played coy about romance, prompting her mom to admit she'd already been telling people she had someone special in her life.
“Oh, I may have said something about it the other day,” Kyle confessed.
“Oh, OK,” Sophia said. “Well, then, yeah. ... It’s not a secret. I’m just — you know, some things are private.”
Where does Sophia Umansky work?
Like her older sisters Farrah and Alexia, Sophia works at The Agency, her dad's real estate company. But unlike her big sisters, she's not a real estate agent ... yet.
In April 2024, Sophia took over the Umansky Team's Instagram Story to share exactly what she does for the company. "I run the team Instagram alongside [real estate agent] Maddie Buffardi," she wrote alongside a photo of herself. "Working on some marketing stuff for the team while I continue to study for my [real estate] license!"
On the Umansky Team's website, Sophia is listed as a marketing assistant.
"Sophia's reputation for quiet confidence, innate understanding of client needs, and adept problem-solving skills underscores her skills in navigating the Los Angeles real estate market," reads her official bio. "As the newest addition to the Umansky Team, Sophia plays a pivotal role in day-to-day operations, spearheading social media strategy, conducting market analysis, orchestrating marketing campaigns, curating content, and more, all while continuously expanding her knowledge and honing her skills in the industry."
The Umansky girls work with their dad Mauricio Umansky
If you've seen RHOBH or Buying Beverly Hills, you'll know that The Agency is a family affair: Sophia's boss is none other than her father, Mauricio.
As for following in her mother's footsteps and joining RHOBH? "I can't say no," Sophia told E! News when asked about the possibility of someday picking up a diamond. "I feel like, I could, maybe do this."
Sophia Umansky Appeared on Buying Beverly Hills
Appearances on Buying Beverly Hills
Over the course of two seasons, Sophia and her two older sisters as well as dad, Mauricio, who all work at The Agency, took fans inside the biz on Buying Beverly Hills' two-season run.
Kyle shared about watching her grown children appear on the show together when speaking to The Daily Dish in February 2024: "They never argue, and they're all so different, and they just love working together, and I was so worried. And now they're doing this TV show together, which was another concern of mine."
Does Sophia Umansky still live at home?
To her mom's delight, Sophia does still live at home — AKA the cozy Encino spot where Kyle resides (and has said she'll never leave). Her room, which she's shown off on TikTok, features a gray wood floor, hunter green-colored walls, and giant windows, not to mention a marble fireplace and en suite bathroom.
As for her roommates? Her mom and little sister Portia of course. Plus a lot of dogs.
"Outside of her professional endeavors, Sophia enjoys exploring Los Angeles' vibrant culinary scene, keeping her finger on the pulse of emerging fashion trends, spending time with her beloved six dogs, and cherishing moments with her three sisters," explains her work bio.
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky announce divorce in November 2023
Almost 30 years after their 1996 wedding, Kyle and Mauricio announced they were separating (although neither filed for divorce).
In January 2024, Sophia explained her feelings about the separation during an interview with E! News.
"I mean, this is already a lot to process in itself, and to have the whole world talking about it — that's what it feels like — is a lot," she shared. "But I have to say, I am grateful for everything that my mom being in the spotlight has brought into our lives, so it's really hard to say. But right now, it's rough."
