Everything You Need to Know About Kyle Richards’ Daughters
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member is the proud mom of Farrah, Alexia, Sophia, and Portia.
In Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards said, “I have very little time to myself being a mom of four kids.” Then, the cameras followed her from room to room as she attempted to wake up her daughters — who were 21, 13, 9, and 1 at the time — for school.
A lot has changed since then. In the last 13 years, we’ve witnessed Kyle’s daughters growing up and celebrating major milestones like birthdays, holidays, bat mitzvahs, high school and college graduations, career wins, and an engagement. What hasn’t changed: the family is still close as ever.
How many kids does Kyle Richards have?
Kyle Richards has four kids: Farrah Brittany (who she shares with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie), Alexia, Sophia, and Portia (who she shares with Mauricio Umansky).

Kyle's daughters Farrah and Alexia currently work with Mauricio at his highly successful real estate firm, The Agency. Sophia is a recent college graduate and Portia is now a teenager with an interest in beauty.
Here’s everything to know about Kyle’s four daughters.
Kyle Richards' and Mauricio Umansky's Family
Farrah Brittany, 34
Farrah was born on October 31, 1988 to Guraish Aldjufrie and Kyle, who was 19 years old at the time. Kyle has opened up about what it was like to be a young mom, writing in an October 2019 Instagram post: “I was a baby with a baby.”
Kyle’s lookalike daughter Farrah holds two degrees: An Associate's Degree in Liberal Studies from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern California. As a realtor and founding member at The Agency, she manages multimillion dollar listings and regularly updates fans about her sales through her Instagram.
She also starred alongside her stepdad and sister in a Netflix reality series, Buying Beverly Hills, which documented the happenings at Mauricio’s company.
Farrah is engaged to her longtime love, Alex Manos. The two have been together since 2018 and they announced their engagement in 2021.
"Beyond grateful for you," Farrah gushed in her Nov. 29, 2021, engagement announcement post on Instagram. "I love you so much."
In 2020, Farrah and Alex bought a house together. "I wanted to share a little secret with you guys," Farrah shared on Instagram at the time. "Alex and I just closed escrow on our first little project that we got together, and I cannot wait. I'm so excited.”
Still, she revealed on social media in 2022 that she still has a house of her own as well.
In the same Instagram story, she also gave an update on her wedding, revealing that she'd bought a dress. Kyle elaborated more on the upcoming nuptials in Season 12 of RHOBH. “They want to get married in the desert near our home in La Quinta somewhere because when they were dating they spent a lot of time there,” she said, noting Farrah doesn't want anything “too over-the-top.”
Alexia Umansky, 26
Alexia is Mauricio and Kyle's first daughter together; she was born on June 18, 1996.
She began her collegiate academic career at University of Arizona — her move-in was featured on RHOBH — but she ultimately transferred to Emerson College, a small private college in Boston, and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications
Alexia works with Farrah and Mauricio at The Agency, where she represents buyers and sellers and also serves as a Marketing Specialist.
“I grew up watching my father work. I’d watch him show homes, sit at open houses and build relationships with clients. He knows so much about every neighborhood in this city, driving around with him was always like a little lesson,” Alexia shared in her profile on The Agency website. “As I grew up, I would come into the office to shadow him and always learned something new. Real estate is something I always knew I loved. And I quickly realized I could devote my life to this industry and be happy.”
Alexia is in a relationship with Jake Zingerman. Alexia and Jake celebrated their three-year anniversary in November of 2022 with a “perfect weekend getaway” at a Malibu beach club.
Like her mother, Alexia has a great sense of style — so much so, that Kyle recently raided Alexia’s closet to find a gown for the 2023 Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party.
Of course, the borrowing goes both ways. In 2021, Alexia plucked a polka dot Rotate Birger Christensen midi from her mom’s belongings and wore it to a wedding.
Sophia Umansky, 23
Sophia was born on January 18, 2000.
When she graduated from high school in 2018, Kyle reflected on her third daughter’s life thus far.
"Watching you graduate from high school today and speaking at your graduation is a moment I will cherish forever,” Kyle gushed on Instagram. “Your intelligence, wit, determination, kindness & confidence is admired by many. Especially by me. You have always had the strength and courage to speak up for what you believe in and never allow yourself to be intimidated or back down. You are a force to be reckoned with. All wrapped up in a beautiful package. I’m so excited for you and this new chapter in your life.”
Sophia then enrolled in George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and graduated in 2022 with a degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences.
Of course, proud mom Kyle had to celebrate the momentous occasion on Instagram. “So incredibly proud of you,” Kyle wrote to her daughter in a May 14, 2022, post showing the graduate in her cap and gown. “Today my heart was bursting with pride.”
On the season finale of Buying Beverly Hills, the possibility of Sophia joining The Agency was teased, but she currently does not have a bio on the company website.
If she doesn’t go into real estate, a career in fashion could also be in the cards. In 2020, Sophia walked the runway at New York Fashion week for Matt Sarafa. Prior to that, she donned her mother’s designs while strutting down the catwalk in 2019 for the debut of Kyle + Shahida.
Portia Umansky, 15
Portia was born on March 1, 2008, and made her TV debut as an adorable curly haired tot on Season 1 of RHOBH. As she’s grown up, she’s enjoyed reflecting on her time on the show and seeing a new side of her mom on TV.
“Portia has just started watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Kyle told The Daily Dish in 2021. “She said, 'Mom, this is the best show on television. I’m obsessed. We were binge-watching. We’re through Season 3.'"
"She said to me that she does not remember anything about it. This is all fresh and new," she added. "She goes, 'And by the way, you all are characters to me. It’s obviously you, but I also...' Well, I hope so [that I'm her favorite character], but who even knows. She’s probably just saying that to be nice."
That same year, Kyle gushed about her youngest daughter in an Instagram post for her 13th birthday. “You are so smart, funny, intuitive, mature,” Kyle wrote. “I am so grateful to have been blessed with you as my daughter. You completed our family and we love you more than you could ever imagine. AND Thank you for making us laugh nonstop.”
In recent years, Portia has explored a passion for beauty. Portia is already perfectly blending her own eyeshadow, and she even did Kyle's and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’s makeup for Coachella.
In October of 2021, Portia celebrated a major milestone in the Jewish tradition: her bat mitzvah. The circus-themed bash featured a star-studded guest list, over-the-top decorations, and a fabulous pink dress for the birthday girl.
Kyle Richards and Maurcio Umansky’s Family in RHOBH Season 13
In the trailer for Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the entire family is seen coming together after the news broke that Kyle and Mauricio had separated, though they said they had no plans to divorce.
Addressing their crying girls, Kyle said, "We are a very strong family, and we always will be."
With her arm around a visibly upset Portia, she added, "Nothing can change that."
