Kyle Richards Meets Bravo Superfan Rihanna During an Aspen Shopping Trip (PIC)
The RHOBH cast member ran into the R&B superstar while vacationing with her daughters and Mauricio Umanksy.
Kyle Richards is “making new memories” with Rihanna. Yes, you read that right: the Rihanna.
While vacationing in Aspen with her family, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG decided to take a trip to Kemo Sabe — the upscale Western hat store that's been prominently featured in RHOBH. At one point during the shopping spree, Kyle and her daughters had a serendipitous encounter with the R&B superstar, who was in the resort town along with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, and their two children.
Kyle, of course, made sure to share the moment on Instagram, posting a photo of her standing next to RiRi and her three oldest daughters, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, and Farrah Brittany.
“Beautiful inside and out [Rihanna],” Kyle captioned the December 29 post, “making new memories at [Kemo Sabe].”

The Beverly Hills mom also reshared a screenshot of a TMZ report on the viral moment, which reportedly went down during Kemo Sabe’s after-hours. Insiders told the outlet that Rihanna had specifically gone to the shop because she had seen it on RHOBH, and ended up spending almost an hour hanging with Kyle and her family, including her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky.
Farrah also posted the Rihanna photo on her Instagram and took some time to answer a few questions. One user asked if she cried when she met the Grammy-winning singer. “Yes I basically did," she replied, "obsesseddd.”
Another person wondered if her little sister Portia Umansky, who did not go to Kemo Sabe, was upset about missing the encounter. “She was,” Farrah wrote, followed by a laughing crying emoji.
Rihanna is a self-proclaimed Bravo fan
Rihanna’s love for Bravo has been well documented over the years, as she’s confirmed her obsessions with series like Shahs of Sunset and Vanderpump Rules, as well as the long-running Real Housewives franchise. She shouted out the latter during a 2022 red-carpet interview with E! News, as she was preparing to welcome baby No. 2.
The reporter asked Rihanna how she “passed the time during maternity leave,” to which she replied: “Anything that starts with ‘The Real Housewives of’… Give me a reality show and I’m watching it. I freakin’ love reality TV.”

Although Friday marked the first time Kyle had met Rihanna, the ’Wife previously confirmed that one of her kids ran into the singer during a night out with friends. She shared the anecdote in a 2018 interview with the Los Angeles Times.
“One of my favorite stories is my daughter was at a karaoke place and someone came in and there’s like a commotion, like a big entourage,” Kyle said without specifying which daughter. “She turned around and was talking to her friends and then she felt a tap on her shoulder and she turned around and it was Rihanna. And Rihanna goes, ‘Oh my God, I’m obsessed with you.’ And my daughter started to cry and she goes, ‘I’m so confused, what’s happening?’”
