Lala Kent Says Randall Emmett "Wasn’t Thrilled" She Revealed This in Her Book

The Vanderpump Rules cast member also explained how the phrase "Give Them Lala" came to life.

By Hannah Chambers

It’s an exciting time for Lala Kent. The Vanderpump Rules cast member recently welcomed a baby girl, Ocean Kent Emmett, and released her memoir, Give Them Lala. She chatted about all the newest developments of her life on the May 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and even spilled on fiancé Randall Emmett’s reaction to a particularly shocking revelation from her book.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

When Andy Cohen asked, “Was Randall pissed when you shared the story in your memoir about sticking his toothbrush up your butt when you were in a fight?” Lala replied, “He wasn’t thrilled about it, but I didn’t let anybody read the book, and I didn’t talk to them about what stories I was going to share because I knew that they would try to convince me to not share things, and so… yeah. No, he wasn’t thrilled. But we got over the hump.”

The new mom also opened up about some comments she made during an appearance on Overserved with Lisa Vanderpump, in which she said that if she had to choose between a great sex life with a partner or being financially secure, she’d go with financial security. When a viewer asked what Randall thought about her choice, Lala said, “Well, Randall also, I think would choose being financially secure. And I love how people think that I’m so reliant on him, but at the end of the day, I do have a job. I do pay my own bills. He’s provided a beautiful lifestyle for me, which is great, but with or without Randall, I will make sure I’m just fine, because I would love to be financially secure forever, with or without a man.”

Lala also shared some details about how the phrase “Give Them Lala” came about in the first place (video below): “It was after Season 5 [of Vanderpump Rules], when I walked away from the show and my ego was huge. People were like, ‘We want you to come back!’ And I’m like, ‘Give the people what they want! Give them Lala!’ And it just kind of stuck.”
