The Real Housewives of Miami cast member, who shares four children with her ex-husband, Scottie Pippen, went public with the 32-year-old Trophy Room owner in January, and she referred to him as her “forever Valentine” on February 14.

Marcus is the son of Scottie’s former Chicago Bulls teammate Michael Jordan and his ex-wife, Juanita Vanoy. While Scottie and Michael were teammates for quite some time in the ’90s, Larsa has said on multiple occasions that the families weren’t close during that time. Instead, she met Marcus about four years ago at a mutual friend’s party in Los Angeles. They hung out together a lot as pals after that party, and their relationship organically developed into something more later on.

During an appearance on the February 28 episode of Tamron Hall, Larsa said she “didn’t plan” to date the son of her ex’s teammate, but “it just so happened.”

“I feel like I should have love, I should be able to date who I want, I should be able to live happy and just go wherever I want to go and not be judged every time I’m seen with someone,” she added.

In addition to being the son of her ex-husband’s former teammate, Marcus is 16 years younger than his girlfriend. Though some have criticized the pair for their age difference, Larsa said that age does not define maturity.

“We have everything in common. I’ve dated guys a lot older than me — Scottie is 10 years older than me — so I don’t really view age as you’re mature or immature. I don’t feel like that determines if you’re mature or not,” Larsa explained about her connection with her “best friend,” Marcus. “I feel like if you can drink at 21, you can go to war at 18, there’s different circumstances. I feel like age doesn’t really determine your level of maturity.”

The 48-year-old only went public with Marcus in early 2023, but the two have already taken some serious steps in their relationship — including meeting the parents. Though Larsa is mainly focused on how she feels about Marcus, she did confirm that she’s been “recently hanging out” with Michael and Juanita.

“It’s not about my parents or his parents. They’re all happy, our whole family’s fine,” the mom of four said, before noting that they had all spent the holidays together. “I feel like it’s more about where I am [and] where he is.”

The two have, however, received Marcus’ parents’ “blessing” for one key reason.

“When you’re an adult, I think your parents just want to see you happy. My parents want to see me happy, his parents want to see him happy,” she said. “We’re in a great place.”
