This Is How Lindsay Hubbard Now Feels About Telling Austen Kroll That She's in Love with Him
The Winter House cast member also reacts to fans who think Ciara Miller is a better match for Austen Kroll.
Lindsay Hubbard's arrival in the October 27 episode of Winter House shook up an already-chaotic time in Stowe, Vermont. Though her good friend, Austen Kroll, had expressed romantic feelings for Ciara Miller early on, complete with a hot tub makeout sesh, both he and Lindsay had also been curious about turning their friendship into a relationship.
And then Lindsay dropped a bombshell, telling Austen, "I'm in love with you."
Lindsay reflected on that moment while in the audience during Austen's appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on October 27 (clip above), sharing that she "didn't remember" making that admission the next day. Host Andy Cohen then noted that sometimes when "people are drunk, they really speak from the heart," with which Lindsay agreed. "Totally. And we've spoken about this numerous times that I accidentally told him that," she said. "But he accidentally told me something on New Year's Eve."
What Lindsay is alluding to there is when Austen told her last New Year's Eve that he was going to date her this year, which she mentioned to Julia McGuire in Wednesday night's episode of Winter House. Austen addressed his comment to Lindsay during his appearance on WWHL. "Oh, I mean, if you don't tell your best friend from time to time, you're like, 'I'm sick of everything. Wouldn't it just be so much easier if you and I dated?'" he explained.
The latest episode of Winter House saw Austen grappling with his feelings for both Lindsay and Ciara. But at the end of the episode, Austen confronted Lindsay about "the bomb" she dropped when she told him that she's in love with him. "I didn't know that," Austen said. "Linds, I love you — like a sister. It just works so much better this way. I don't want this to f--k up because we are too close."
Andy had Austen face this romantic dilemma on WWHL as he asked the Winter House-mate to choose between Ciara and Lindsay in various situations, including who is the "better cuddler," "better kisser," and who Austen's ex Madison LeCroy "would like the least." Austen reveals all in the clip, below.
Naturally, Andy also had to poll the WWHL audience on who they thought would be better for Austen. Lindsay's reaction to Ciara leading in the poll?: "I don't give a f--k [laughs]."
During the WWHL After Show, Andy asked Lindsay if anyone else besides Austen caught her eye this season of Winter House. "Everyone is beautiful in that house!" Lindsay gushed in the below clip. "Like, you put, like, this picturesque setting behind you and models. Are you kidding? Take your pick."
