Lisa Vanderpump's Nephews Support Her Las Vegas Restaurant Opening: "I Feel Like I Have the Essence of My Brother with Me"
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Lisa Vanderpump was "thrilled" to have her late brother's sons by her side for the opening of Vanderpump Cocktail Garden.
Lisa Vanderpump was definitely surrounded by love during the opening night party of Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on March 30. From her family to fans to members of the Vanderpump Rules crew, nearly everyone in Lisa's inner circle was there to celebrate The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills restaurateur's latest venture.
But there were two attendees who hold a particularly special place in Lisa's heart: her nephews Jack and Sam Vanderpump.
One of the reasons why their presence meant so much to Lisa was because Jack and Sam's father, Lisa's older brother Mark Vanderpump, suddenly passed away after dying by suicide at the age of 59 last April. "It was a very difficult year for me, obviously, with that tragedy, and I'm thrilled that my brother's sons are with me tonight," Lisa told The Daily Dish at the event. "I feel like I have the essence of my brother with me because as your only sibling, it's been very challenging."
Lisa previously opened up about her brother's passing earlier this season of RHOBH, which you can see in the above clip. "I think to immerse yourself in work and philanthropy is always a good thing," Lisa told The Daily Dish of how she coped with her loss. "But also, you need time to heal, and now I feel a lot better."
Since her brother's passing, Lisa has been even more committed to spending time with her nephews. Sam and Jack gave her "the best birthday present ever" when they flew in to surprise her for her birthday last September.
