Lisa Vanderpump Opens Up About Her New Venture, Wolf: "The Sexiest Restaurant in Lake Tahoe"
The Vanderpump Rules cast member shared why she's "very excited" about her forthcoming restaurant.
After hosting an epic closing party, Lisa Vanderpump continued to say her final goodbyes to Pump on Season 11, Episode 3 of Vanderpump Rules. Although the restaurateur was heartbroken to close Pump's doors after ten years in business, she was looking forward to an exciting new venture.
"We're very excited because we are opening a new restaurant in Lake Tahoe, just on the division between California and Nevada," Lisa shared in an interview during the episode, which aired on February 13. "Wolf by Vanderpump is going to be right there. It's going to be the sexiest restaurant in Lake Tahoe and I am so f-cking excited about it."
According to the restaurant's Instagram bio, Wolf is set to open "this winter," and Lisa shared a peek at the construction progress in a February 6 Instagram photo. "Sad to see PUMP closing on tonight’s [Vanderpump Rules] but working on new restaurant [Wolf by Vanderpump] with my design partner [Nick Alain]," she wrote in the caption. "Onward upward, you are going to loooove this one."

In June 2023, Lisa shared details about what to expect when Wolf opens. "Through our design company Vanderpump Alain, Wolf will feature stunning lighting, bespoke furniture, and epic visual statements," she wrote in an Instagram caption. "The food will be decadent, the cocktails both earthy and Instagrammable, and the entire experience is something we are eager to be bringing to Lake Tahoe. ‘Wolf’ has additional meaning as it is a family name and the middle name of my grandson Teddy!”
Lisa Vanderpump reflects on Pump closing
During the same Vanderpump Rules episode, Lisa went to Pump for one of the last times and felt mixed emotions seeing it empty. "It's so hard for me to look around at this empty shell of a restaurant," she said. "I've known that we were going to close Pump for quite a while now, but seeing everything loaded out makes it so much more real."
Lisa called Ken Todd to talk about her feelings. "I wasn't prepared for it," she said. "I keep thinking, 'Did we do the right thing?'"
However, when Ken told Lisa, "You can change your mind if you want," Lisa noted the only way that would happen is "if they would revert back to the original rent."
On Season 11, Episode 2, Lisa shared more about the difficult decision. "After 10 years, we've decided to close Pump. It's bittersweet, but the rent's going up, and it's going to be exponentially more expensive, and Ken's looking to retire," she said. "If we take it on for another ten years, that means Ken will still be stomping the pavements of West Hollywood when he'll be in his 80s."
Now, Lisa is looking forward to starting a new chapter with Wolf, as well as another new restaurant, Pinky’s by Vanderpump, which will open in Las Vegas in Summer 2024.
