Luis “Louie” Ruelas Sets the Record Straight on Wearing Nonno’s Pajamas
Teresa Giudice has offered her own explanation for Louie’s comment, but on Part 3 of the RHONJ Season 13 reunion, he’s sharing his side of the story.
There was no shortage of drama throughout The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13, and while the cast members — Teresa Giudice, Jennifer Aydin, Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda — are still sorting through it all on the three-part reunion, a sneak peek of June 13’s upcoming Part 3 shows that host Andy Cohen is eager to take a break from the heavier topics and instead unpack a comment made by Luis “Louie” Ruelas earlier this season.
More specifically, once Louie and his fellow RHONJ husbands take the reunion stage, Andy asks, “Can I just start with the pj’s?”

Louie’s Comment About Wearing Nonno’s Pajamas
In case you need a refresher, Louie made the comment in question during a sit-down with Joe Gorga on RHONJ Season 13 Episode 8. Referring to Joe and Teresa’s late father, Giacinto Gorga (aka “Nonno”) he said, “I live with your four nieces. I wear your father’s pajamas at night to make them feel safe and loving. Do you know that?”
Louie’s Explanation for the Pajamas Comment
Asked at the reunion exactly what he meant when making the remark, Louie says, “I don’t sleep in her father’s pajamas. It came out wrong. Teresa, when she was emptying out her house, there were bags of clothes that never got to [her] father. I took one of the sweats and I wore it one night in just an endearing, good way for [Teresa] and [her daughters].”
Turning to Joe, Louie continues, “When I made that comment to you, it sounded creepy about wearing your dead father’s pajamas — excuse me for saying that — but that’s not what happened. I’m sorry if it came off that way.”
The Drama Between Louie, Teresa, Joe, and Melissa
Louie then shifts the focus of the conversation to the ongoing rift he and Teresa have with Joe and Melissa Gorga. “Ever since I met you and I got close to your sister, I tried to connect with you in so many different ways,” Louie tells Joe. “I wanted to be your brother-in-law. I wanted to have a relationship with you because I went home with your sister every night, I knew what she really wanted. She didn’t want this. We didn’t want this to happen.”
Joe, however, wasn’t buying it. “Listen, I’m gonna be honest with you. I want to believe you, you know? I do. But every time I believe you, you screw me,” Joe responds. “I gave you the benefit of the doubt. And I don’t want nothing from you. You know what I wanted? A family. I wanted a brother-in-law.”
