Luann de Lesseps Breaks Down Why She'll Always Be The Countess
"Queen Latifah, is she really queen?" the #RHONY mom joked during her #WWHL sit-down.
Shortly after Luann de Lesseps announced her divorce from Tom D'Agostino, The Real Housewives of New York City mom shared that she would once again be using her married name from her relationship with first husband, Count Alexandre de Lesseps. And as viewers learned during her first post-split sit-down with Andy Cohen, which aired Wednesday, she actually had never formally even changed her last name to D'Agostino.
"Well I never officially changed my name. I hadn't gotten around to it," she confirmed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
As for her title of countess, which she presumably lost after marrying Tom last December, she explained where things currently stand with that as well. "Well I'm Luann de Lesseps and The Countess is always going to be a part of me," she said. "Now I have my bedding collection coming out. And it's a brand that I own. Like Queen Latifah, is she really queen? I mean, right? So it's part of me and I was a countess. So it's a brand that I own as Luann de Lesseps."
