Sonja Morgan Says Tom D'Agostino Is "Emotionally Hurt" Amid His Divorce from Luann de Lesseps

It's been three weeks since Luann de Lesseps and Tom D'Agostino announced their decision to divorce after seven months of marriage. And Luann's Real Housewives of New York City pals just gave us some insight into how the exes are doing following their split. 

Dorinda Medley, who introduced Luann to Tom, recently told Extra that her friend "is very good at keeping up a brave face." Sonja agreed and added during the interview with Extra that Luann is "very strong and she'll keep moving." 

Sonja, who has her own romantic history with Tom, shared that he does not seem to be handling the divorce perhaps as well as Luann. “A friend of mine saw Tom and said that he did not look well," she said. "I can confirm, so he is emotionally hurt." 

Neither Dorinda nor Sonja really knew what factors contributed to the couple's decision to divorce, but Dorinda said she believes "it was some level of mutual decision." She also added that Luann "really loved him." 

Luann opened up about her decision to divorce Tom shortly after she confirmed the breakup on Twitter. "It was impossible, we were having problems and we tried really hard to fix things, and we finally came to the conclusion it was just not going to work," she explained to Page Six earlier this month. "It was a tough decision and we are both very sad about it. But the truth is we just weren’t getting along.”

Tom also commented on the split shortly after the news broke. "Tom is sad about the end of the marriage," his rep said in a statement to E! News. "He and Luann are being supportive and kind to each other." 

However, Luann tweeted "#blindersoff" following Part 1 of the RHONY reunion in which she defended Tom as the ladies discussed his behavior this season.
