Madison LeCroy Opens Up About Her Life as a Single Mom
The Southern Charm cast member reflects on the struggles she's faced raising her son.
If you think you know Madison LeCroy, think again. She is opening up about her life as a single mom to her 7-year-old son, Hudson, like never before. The Southern Charm cast member detailed her life as a mother, as well as her relationship with her son's dad, during the October 29 Season 7 premiere.
"When I found out I was pregnant, I definitely wanted a son. I feel like I'm a boy mom. I know people say that and they're like what does that even mean? But could you imagine like me in a miniature version? I mean, that would be like hell on earth," Madison shared in the episode in interview.
She then reflected on her marriage to Hudson's dad — and how they balance life now several years after they split up. "I was 20 when I got married. And I had Hudson when we were 22. And we divorced when Hudson was 3 years old," she said. "And we do co-parenting, so we're 50 percent on [and] 50 percent off."
However, she noted it hasn't always been easy and she struggled for a bit to find balance as a single parent and her work as a hairstylist and life outside the home. "It's been hard being a young single mom," she said. "And there have been times where I didn't have it together. It's like I'll leave a client sitting in a car. I'll run to go get him and then we come right back. But having Hudson has definitely pushed me to want to be successful. I mean I have a kid, so I don't have a choice to be lazy."
In the October 28 episode, it's also confirmed that she and Austen Kroll rekindled their romance. "We both care about each other so much, that we can't stop," she explained while discussing why they got back together despite their past issues.
