Dr. Jackie Walters Explains Why She Didn't Look at Mariah Huq's Test Results
The Married to Medicine OBGYN would have had to ask her friend many more questions.
Mariah Huq hoped to shut down the rumors once and for all when she asked Dr. Jackie Walters to take a look at her drug test results in Sunday night's Married to Medicine. But much to Mariah's chagrin, Dr. Jackie declined to view it.
Even though the majority of fans think Dr. Jackie should have looked at the results of Mariah's drug test, according to a poll during Sunday night's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the OBGYN is standing by her decision. "As a physician, I would have to ask more questions," Dr. Jackie explained on WWHL, giving "When did you take the test?" as an example. "I would have had to ask more questions, which would have opened up that whole thing again, and I was over it. I've said 'I am sorry' at least 500 times. And so I was really fed up with it. I didn't want to do it anymore. I'm out."
Mariah and Dr. Jackie started off this season of Married to Medicine in a not-so-great place after the OBGYN brought up the drug rumors during an episode of her Open & Honest show with Dr. Heavenly Kimes. Though the two appeared to settle their differences during a dinner with Dr. Heavenly and Dr. Simone Whitmore earlier this season, Mariah confronted Dr. Jackie and shared that she was still upset about the allegations during their girls' trip to Savannah.
Mariah and Dr. Jackie showed their commitment to working on their relationship when all of the ladies shared their testimonies about the trip at the Second African Baptist Church. "Jackie, I'm sorry if I've offended you in any way. I definitely didn't mean to," Mariah said. "Anything I said to you, it was out of passion, maybe some pain, and honesty just trying to push through."
Dr. Jackie later told Mariah, "I say to you, Mariah, my heart is open. I'm willing if you will have it."
Mariah may have been able to forgive, but it sounds like she won't be forgetting anytime soon. "The truth doesn't matter to these ladies. I understand how some people operate, and I'm just gonna make moves accordingly," she said after discussing her drug test results, which came up negative, by the way, with Toya Bush-Harris and their husbands. "I just won't deal with them the same way or won't deal with them at all."
