Here’s Why Dr. Contessa Metcalfe Is “So Proud" of Daughter Lauren

Dr. Contessa Metcalfe is one proud mom! The Married to Medicine cast member recently took to Instagram to celebrate her eldest daughter Lauren’s latest accomplishment.

On May 4, Contessa dedicated a heartfelt shout-out to Lauren on Instagram. The mom of three shared a sweet video capturing several clips and snippets from Lauren’s recent performance as Moana at her school.

“Lauren,” she wrote in the caption alongside heart emojis. "It’s so much pressure being the eldest child, but you are such a special young woman, an inspiration to your siblings, and filled with such fortitude I sometimes wonder what I did for God to bless me with you!”

Contessa went on to add, “Love you @lauren.e.metcalfe. you make us proud every single day…” She concluded with a series of hashtags, including several that read “proud mom, ” “proud family,” “triple threat,” and “family over everything.”

Several of Contessa’s fellow Married to Medicine cast members took to the comments to share their support for Lauren.

“Your mini you,” Dr. Simone Whitmore wrote alongside a series of heart-eye emojis, while Toya Bush-Harris added, “I lovvvve it!!! Our kids take after us.” Married to Medicine Los Angeles' Dr. Kendra Segura also chimed in with several heart emojis.

This isn’t the only cute update that Contessa has shared about her kids in recent weeks. In April, she shared several videos of her youngest daughter, Laila, picking out some new glasses and hanging out by the pool on a sunny day.

On April 9, Contessa also took to Instagram to celebrate her son Landon’s birthday. “Please join me in wishing Landon a Happy birthday,” she captioned the post. “Words cannot express how much I love you and how proud I am of you! May God continue to bless your life.”
